Micro punctures are created in the upper layers of the skin by multiple fine needles.
These micro-injuries stimulate the skin’s healing process, resulting in increased production of collagen and elastin.
These proteins are responsible for maintaining skin firmness and smoothness, as well as reducing the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and acne scars.
The outcome is an enhancement in the quality and texture of the skin, resulting in a more youthful complexion
FAQs
What is microneedling?
Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin treatment that uses tiny needles to create micro-channels in the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin production. This process helps improve skin texture, reduce fine lines, and enhance overall skin health.
How does dermal rolling work?
Numerous small, sharp needles make up a derma roller. It rolls across the skin’s surface, causing numerous microscopic wounds. This activates the body’s natural healing response, leading to increased collagen production and skin rejuvenation.
Is microneedling painful?
The treatment may cause mild discomfort. Most clients describe it as a slight tingling or scratching sensation.
How soon will I see results?
You’ll start noticing improvements in skin texture and glow within a few days, but the best results appear after 3 to 6 sessions, as collagen production continues over time.
Is there any downtime after microneedling?
There is minimal downtime. You may experience redness and mild swelling for 24 to 48 hours, similar to mild sunburn. You will be provided with a post procedure kit to use for 5-7 days then you can resume your normal routine. You can wear makeup 24 hours after microneedling.
What areas can be treated?
All areas of the body can be treated. Most common for anti-aging are the face, neck and chest. We can also treat the abdomen and thighs for stretch marks. Microchanneling is also effective for hair regrowth in some circumstances.
